I’ve just launched my very first children’s book to help educate young children about Hip Dysplasia as my own daughter, Rumi (now 5 years) was diagnosed at the age of six weeks old.
The book was inspired by my own family’s journey and aims to start important and authentic conversations with children in a gentle, age appropriate way. To my knowledge, there is currently nothing else like it available in Australia, making it a unique resource for families, educators, and health professionals.
My hope is to spread awareness of Hip Dysplasia and help children feel seen, understood, and supported. I would love to get this educational book into the school's libraries/classrooms encouraging understanding, kindness and inclusion from an early age.
